I’m Now a “Financial Expert” with MoneyGeek.com!

Every now and then, an email comes my way seeking an opinion as an expert. Many times they are outside my areas of knowledge and experience, so I have to pass. But recently, I got one from MoneyGeek.com asking my thoughts on three different issues, and my excitement grew as I read through the points to address.

My thoughts are now included online, along with those of other Financial Experts, to help MoneyGeek in their mission that started just five years ago, which is “to make personal finance more approachable and accessible – so anyone can be a “geek” when it comes to personal finances.”

Please enjoy these three contributions to MoneyGeek.com!

Food and Money: Both “Core Survival Needs” for Humans

In my work as a Certified Money Coach/Master Money Coach & Trainer, I often come across people’s stories where there is a challenge with food.  Either they “self-medicate” using food as a comfort when things are tough, or they misuse food in one way or another, which has financial implications.

I recently was a guest of Jared Levenson for a podcast on eating disorders and how there is a tie to money, and also how seeking treatment for a family member can be financially prohibitive.  For more information about Jared and his blessed work, please visit his website at https://weightlossenlightenment.com.  You can watch or hear the interview using one of the links below.

I hope you find it interesting and informative.
